The MTW Production summer intern will gain real-world experience in theatrical production management and company management while assisting with MTW’s production of NEWSIES. They will learn how to prepare for all stages of a full-stage musical theatre production, from design preparations and casting to rehearsals, performances, and closing load-out. We anticipate the intern to work around 20 hours per week from June through November.
"The applicant should be self-motivated, possess good organizational and
interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to multitask,
prioritize, and meet deadlines. We are looking for someone with the ability to
work well and collaboratively with a fast-paced, high-performing team.
The student should have an interest in company and production management for
a musical theatre company.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Enrollment in a theater management, stage management, or technical theater
program is preferred.
• Students must have a valid driver’s license and be able to legally work in the
United States.
• Interns will occasionally be asked to work nights and weekends."
