Description

The Digital Marketing & PR Intern will support the Communications and Marketing team in executing public relations and social media strategies for summer events happening at The Wallis, as well as preparation for the 2022/23 Season. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting in the drafting of press releases and other collateral, attending brainstorming sessions, performing database updates, updating event/calendar listings, researching press and community outreach groups, supporting the creation of The Wallis’ digital season brochure, and more. Nominated for 28 Ovation Awards, four L.A. Drama Critic's Circle Awards and the recipient of six architectural awards, the performing arts center brings audiences world-class theater, dance and music, performed by many of the world's most talented and sought-after artists.  Ideally the internship will take place between June and September 2021, with the intern working 30 to 40 hours per week. There is some flexibility to this schedule.

Qualifications

Strong affinity for and knowledge of the performing arts  Keen attention to detail Strong writing and editing skills Public Relations or Arts Marketing Majors (or related fields) preferred  Strong Organizational skills Knowledge of social media platforms Must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently Must have a positive attitude and ability to collaborate with others Ability to take direction well and work under pressure in a fast-paced, energetic and creative work environment Energetic, out-going personality and capable of projecting a positive image of The Wallis to the public Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
