The Community and Donor Relations Intern will focus on AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT for Grand Performances’ 2024 summer programming at California Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. They are a key member of the development team, assisting in both administrative and live event work. They will support the organization’s efforts to build donor and community audiences, maintain development databases, and create multimedia content to promote the membership program. This position will work between 30 - 40 hours per week from June 3 – August 31, 2024.
- Current undergraduate student - Available to work evenings and weekends at performances - Creative, proactive, highly organized, computer literate, outgoing, and adaptable - Possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills - Basic knowledge of photo editing (Photoshop, Canva), video editing (Adobe Premier, iMovie), social media (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok), and web (WordPress, blogging) preferred. - Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Drive and Dropbox is a plus - Detail-oriented and able to complete tasks in a timely manner - Professional demeanor when interacting with staff, technicians, volunteers, patrons, and artists
Grand Performances (GP) is the longest-running free performing arts presenter in Los Angeles with a mission to inspire community, celebrate diversity, and unite Los Angeles through free access to global performing arts. The 38th annual summer season (June – September 2024) will consist of 20+ live events at the renovated California Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. Performances are filmed for onsite LED projections and live-streamed. They are later rebroadcast on GP YouTube and FB live channels, expanding audiences for our world-class performing artists.
