Angels Gate Cultural Center’s (AGCC) mission is to provide space for artists to work and to engage the community through arts education, exhibitions of contemporary art, and cultural events. AGCC is a medium-sized, community-based interdisciplinary arts center in San Pedro. We provide free and affordable access to the arts in the largely low-to-moderate income working-class communities of San Pedro and the Los Angeles Harbor Region. AGCC offers a year-round schedule of gallery exhibitions of contemporary art, featuring the work of both local and national artists. In addition, the Center provides professional work-studio space for 52 artists, including musicians, ceramists, painters, sculptors, writers, photographers, printmakers and jewelers. Finally, AGCC offers ongoing arts education programming on-site at the center through our Community Class program, in local schools through Artists-in-Classrooms, and throughout the Los Angeles Harbor community in various free public arts workshops.
