This position will appeal to individuals who are creative and who are eager to showcase the artistic endeavors of formerly and currently incarcerated individuals. This position will be 15-20 hours hours a week from roughly June to December 2024, and we offer flexibility in terms of work schedule and timeline. Interns will work primarily with our small ARC Creatives team as well as with our Communications, Development, Clinical & Wellness, and Member Services Departments to ensure that students are exposed to a variety of aspects of arts programming. We aim to hire 1 intern through this grant program.

The Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC) works to end mass incarceration in California to ensure that our communities are safe, healthy, and whole by ARC empowering formerly and currently incarcerated people to thrive and providing a support network, comprehensive reentry services, and opportunities to advocate for policy change, through which we are dedicated to transforming the criminal justice system so that it is more just and equitable for all people. ARC was founded on the transformative power of storytelling, and centers the arts to do so through our multi-disciplinary ARC Creatives program. ARC Creatives provides numerous arts workshops and public-facing events to help our formerly incarcerated members hone and share their artistic talents and creativity.
