The Education Program Intern will collaborate with the BT staff to produce and manage the company’s annual Summer Programs. BT is looking for a dedicated and energetic student, who has a long-term interest in the performing arts. Individuals with experience in event planning, program management, and educational programs will stand out, and those who have an interest in arts education and/or an active teaching practice are encouraged to apply. General computer skills are required, including but not limited to proficiency in Google Suite, Dropbox, Zoom, and all social media platforms. The Intern will work full time, in-person at BODYTRAFFIC’s studio in Koreatown from June-July, then 15-20 hours a week from August-December.
Beyond the required qualifications of the grant program, competitive candidates for the Education Program Internship will have: - Passion and respect for the performing arts - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Experience in or a strong interest in non-profit arts management - Knowledge of Mac/PC operating systems and proficiency in Google Office Suite, Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, Zoom, Canva, and Docusign - An active CA driver’s license, personal vehicle, and valid car insurance. Students with event planning experience, including pre-planning, day of/on the ground support, and logistics are encouraged to apply. The Intern must demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and familiarity with the performing arts is a plus.
