The Public Arts Intern will provide programmatic and marketing support to the Glendale Arts and Culture Commission’s initiatives including but not limited to: the Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station Exhibits, Beyond the Box – Utility Box Mural Art Program, Creative Crosswalks Program, Storefront Art Program, Brand Summer Music Series and Jewel City Concert Series. This position will work approximately 20-30 hours a week from October 2024 – February 2025.
The Public Arts Intern will have a strong knowledge of: - Exceptional customer service practices - Exceptional written and verbal skills - Standard office procedures - Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel) - Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop) **highly desirable, but not required - Attention to detail The Public Arts Intern must also have an interest in: - Government sponsored arts initiatives - Marketing and communications - Arts and culture field (ex. performing arts, exhibitions, installations, etc.)
