As a part of the Los Angeles Review of Books team, the Social Media Intern will have the opportunity to work alongside LARB’s Social Media Director to develop professional skills in social media management, including technical writing, image editing, analytics, and engagement with the online community of LARB readers, followers, and contributors. This position will work approximately 15 hours a week from June to November depending on the intern's availability and school schedule.
—Must be motivated, organized, and possess good communication skills —Attention to detail —Excellent reading, writing, and proofreading skills —Good eye for images and design preferred —Previous experience with Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics, Facebook Insights, and/or Loomly and Canva a plus —Interest in literature and/or the humanities
The Los Angeles Review of Books (LARB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and disseminating rigorous, incisive, and engaging writing on every aspect of literature, culture, and the arts. A vibrant, multimedia platform, LARB exists to cover, represent, and shape today’s literary and artistic landscape in a manner that reflects Los Angeles's cultural style and embrace of diversity. LARB produces public events at venues around Los Angeles celebrating local writers and artists and independent publishing on the West Coast as well as educational programs.
