The Summer Dance Intern will work M-F on the Front desk of the summer dance program for 20-20 hours a week. The intern will be a primary contact for all students coming to the program and assist with various duties necessary for the running of the studio.

Qualifications

The intern must be a good communicator; a hard worker; a self-motivated worker; and someone who has positive inter-personal skills of the type needed to maintain good relationships with parents. The intern needs strong computer skills in Word and Excel, and should be able to learn graphic design skills. The intern needs to be good with social media, marketing, and promotions. The intern should love dance.

Background

Our organization is 41 years old. We own our own dance studio building on Crenshaw Boulevard in South Los Angeles. Lula Washington Dance Theatre is admired across the United States as one of the most impactful leaders and artists for work rooted in inner city life. She is called on to teach, speak, and perform across the US.
