The MTW Education-Outreach Summer Intern will gain real-world experience in education-outreach through their introduction to musical theatre during a live theatrical production setting. They will be introduced to all aspects of our education-outreach programs while assisting with the coordination of MTW’s Student Matinee performance for our production of NEWSIES. They will also learn how to prepare for all stages of an Education-Outreach touring show by coordinating the logistics of a traveling troupe to all venues and locations throughout Long Beach and surrounding communities. This position will work approximately 20 hours a week from June 2024 through November 2024.
* Intern should have an interest in arts education. * Should possess relevant live theatrical production experience and basic knowledge of musical theatre * Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe Suites (InDesign) preferred. * Experience working with children is required.
