The Outwords Archive (OUTWORDS) travels the U.S. recording the on-camera oral histories of the elders of the LGBTQ+ civil right movement; we then cultivate these interviews to provide wisdom, inspiration and practical training to young activists. Since 2016, OUTWORDS has recorded over 300 interviews in 41 states with the queer generation who mostly came of age in the 1950s and 1960s, and are now in their 70s, 80s, and 90s. It is critically important for us to document the diverse firsthand accounts of these elders while they are still alive to tell them.
In an attempt to establish a shared culture contribution, please submit a cover letter and resume to info@theoutwordsarchive.org. Candidates who do not submit a cover letter will be excluded. In your cover letter, please describe your familiarity with the LGBTQIA2S+ community, your commitment to Anti-Racism work, and why you are interested in this position.
