Reporting to the Associate Director Evaluation & Learning, the Learning & Evaluation Intern will help The Music Center to assess our Performing Artists in Schools and Neighborhoods Arts Education Program, which provides over 500 performances annually for local schools and community centers such as libraries and parks. The Learning & Evaluation Intern will help The Music Center to collect data through surveys and in-person conversations; conduct a literature review; and analyze data and feedback to create reports and communicate the impact of programs and the organization. The Learning & Evaluation Intern’s work will aid The Music Center’s internal learning that ensures we are delivering on our mission and vision. This position will work approximately 20-30 hours a week from October through February.
•Interest in the Los Angeles arts and cultural sector as well as the social service sector preferred.
•The intern must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competency.
•Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
•Experience required for MS Office Suite and technology-based communications (Microsoft Teams, Zoom), as well as full proficiency in computer use.
•Have strong communication, social and strong problem-solving skills, strong team player ability.
•Must be resourceful and self-directed to complete tasks with tight deadlines.
•Highly dependable and punctual; must have a reliable source of transportation.
•Ability to travel for offsite events, work remotely, and/or available to work some nights and weekends, as necessary.
•Must be able to work in different environments such as home, office, theater, and outdoor environments.
