This internship offers a unique opportunity for young leaders to make a meaningful impact while gaining hands-on experience. You'll work approximately 15-20 hours a week, starting with an intensive in June/July and lighter hours through December, collaborating with a dynamic team committed to fostering art, nature, and community in South Central LA.
Prospective intern applicants for this position should possess design skills in tools like Photoshop and Figma. Background in arts or gardening a plus. Familiarity with social media, especially a background in content creation, is a bonus. A willingness to learn new programs and be tech-savvy is important. Additionally, applicants should be enthusiastic about participating in events and engaging with the community.
Teapot Gardens, a grassroots organization in South Central LA, is driven by a collective of artists and activists. Our mission is twofold: to nurture a profound connection between creativity and the outdoors, and to empower emerging artists through workshops and community support. We believe that life should revolve around a garden, and it's our goal to create the first public paradise garden in the US, an arena for artists and culture.
