Description

The Education Intern will play a key role in the effective deployment of the Wallis Creative Aging Programs as well as contributing to the planning of our 2024/25 School Partners and residency programming. They will work with schools, teachers, student groups, and Wallis staff in scheduling, communication, organization, and research. Central projects will be the creation of a complex calendar matrix for The Wallis School Partners program and other ongoing courses, as well as the gathering and organization of research and data. This position will work approximately 20-30 hours per week, September through March, but flexibility to accommodate the intern's academic responsibilities may be possible.

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate who possesses: • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Knowledge of computers (including Excel, Word and database programs). • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work with diverse groups of people. • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to create charts and calendars using computer software.  The right candidate will be a creative, fast-thinker who has a passion for the arts and education.  The Education Intern will interact directly with young people ages 18 and under. Therefore, the final candidate must successfully complete a standard background check prior to the first day of work.
