The Education and Administrative Intern will work closely with the Curriculum and Teaching Artist Liaison and Program Coordinator to consolidate all student assessment data from the 2024-2025 school year. The intern will be primarily responsible for highlighting key data trends and findings, and using those findings to help coordinate and produce a series of professional development sessions for YMF TAs. In order to develop a deeper understanding of the process, the intern will also observe and support the yearly TA observation process. This position will also gain an understanding of program structure by assisting with the implementation of school programming, participating in assessments, and other operations that are in support of YMF TAs. This position will work approximately 15-20 hours a week from August through March and can be amended to accommodate the intern's school schedule.
Desired qualifications: Demonstrated passion for creating access to arts education; - Ability to work with students from diverse communities in a classroom or group setting; - Ability to communicate complicated details clearly and effectively; - An interest in challenging Euro-centric structures inherent in the music education system; - An interest in exploring traditional and modern intersections of music across diverse cultural perspectives; - Ability to write and speak in Spanish is preferred; - Possess basic knowledge of music and a high level of organizational, multitasking, and office suite skills (Apple OS, Google Suite); - An interest in educational methodologies and practices.
