About
Gerardo Hacer creates bold sculpture with an origami inspired aesthetic. Like the dynamic, formative process hidden by his seemingly simple designs, each sculpture’s existence aims to elicit a response about the viewer’s relationship to their formative process—childhood. Hacer studied Structural Welding and Motorcycle Mechanics at Los Angeles Trade Technical College. His work has been exhibited at Art Miami, Palm Springs Modernism Show, Urban Institute for Contemporary Art, McNay Museum in San Antonio and the Laguna Art Museum.
