James Rojas pushes the limits of art to create a civic discourse of play and imagination in the effort to create a better Los Angeles. His workshops involve interactive models that evoke emotion and problem solving skills, allowing for investigation of everyday experiences with forms and shapes. Rojas received an MA in City Planning and an MS in Architecture Studies from MIT. He is founder of the Latino Urban Forum and has written and lectured extensively about how culture and immigration are transforming the American landscape. He has received awards from the Puffin Foundation, California Community Foundation and American Planning Association Los Angeles.
