About
Machine Project collaborates with Los Angeles based artists to produce non commercial, site-specific work that aims to investigate, transform and propose different venues for cultural engagement. The collective is committed to making innovative art accessible to a broader public and to promoting discourse between visual artists, scientists, poets, technicians, performers and local communities.
Machine Project was founded in 2003 by Mark Allen. Since then, Allen and Machine Project’s network of artists have staged hundreds of informal, transdisciplinary educational programming and performance based experiments in their Los Angeles storefront and in a wide range of public spaces across the United States.
